Omar Beachcombers

Omar Beachcombers

The Omar Beachcombers were chartered in the 1950s. This unit has evolved from a motorized unit with dune buggies to a character unit and now a float unit within Omar Shrine. The Beachcombers are famous for their BBQ and Fish Frys. Each spring they host a BBQ event at the Old Train Depot in Myrtle Beach that is attended by many members of the Myrtle Beach community. The Beachcombers credit their success over the years to hard work and friendships that are deeply rooted in the community.
